Amsterdam is the birthplace of trade between West and East. A captivating history with nautical stories and golden times. During this arrangement you’ll get to know the first international city of the world where traders, merchants and dealers from all over the world came together for profit and pleasure. We’ll start with an interesting and entertaining city tour “The Golden Age”, 17th century Amsterdam. After a welcome drink, our professional guide will direct the guests on this 2 hours lasting walking tour. We’ll search for legends and facts about the Golden Age, the East India Company, special remains from times of tulips, beer and grain trade. We’ll take a relaxing break in a 17th century liqueur bodega, where the guests can enjoy a proper Dutch genever or a lip-smacking liqueur. Shortly after the tour the guests will explore the beautiful canals aboard a characteristic saloon boat. The guide will tell some more amazing stories about the old ports, trade and the origin of the famous canal belt. After the guide has left the ship, the guests will enjoy their Dutch Captain’s Buffet; a luxurious buffet with fish variety, Old Dutch stews and for example salads with the famous Dutch eel, mackerel and salmon. There are drinks aboard and coffee and tea to complete this unique dinner cruise. Program concept: Duration of the program, including dinner is approximately 5 hours.
