Boat Tour Amsterdam
Architecture Cruise

Get to know the most beautiful sights and architectural masterpieces in Amsterdam, while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea or other beverages. We will sail off in eastern direction, towards the new islands. During roughly one century (1875-1970), this area was fizzing with trade and harbour activities.

The tour will take you to projects like the Passenger Terminal, designed for large cruises, old renovated depots and warehouses, the Lloyd Hotel which accommodated some 1000 workmen from Eastern Europe who were ready to be shipped off to America.

The guests we’ll explore the Java Island, which has a very special structural design. It has the characteristics of the 17th century canal belt in Amsterdam! We’ll visit the KNSM (Royal Dutch Steamboat-Society) Island. On this island you’ll find beautiful big buildings with allure. It’s interesting to see how old port buildings appear in-between the state-of-the-art modern constructions.

When the weather is nice, the guests will be able to discover a part of this island by foot. Sailing through the 17th century New Canal, we’ll return to the old city canal belt for an interesting cruise along the gabbled houses and 20th century architecture. The duration of the cruise is approximately 2 to 2,5 hours.
